Prestonsburg has an abundance of opportunities for the equine enthusiast to enjoy from the Prestonsburg Equine Center, Thunder Ridge Race Track and the recreational equine trails near German Bridge Campground.

Prestonsburg Equine Center features a show ring, seating and 188 stables. The Center can conduct multi-day events for fun and sanctioned shows. Extended accommodations for the participating horses.. Self boarding and full boarding options available.

German Bridge Horse Riding Trail is 18 miles of pathway located on the upper waters of Dewey Lake near the German Bridge Camp Ground. Riders meet there several times a year to camp and ride the picturesque mountain trail. Both trails near German Bridge Campground have benches and hitch post throughout the extensive trails.
